Farm to Market Road 1959
Farm to Market Road 1959 (FM 1959) is a state highway in southeast Harris County in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area.
The road, known locally as Dixie Farm Road, is a very short road at . It passes from Interstate 45 to the entrance to Ellington Field on SH 3 just to the northeast.
FM 1959 was officially cancelled in 1995 in favor of Urban Road 1959 (UR 1959), but the usage is limited only to official state records.
==Route description==
FM 1959 begins at an interchange with I-45 in Houston, Harris County, heading northeast on Dixie Farm Road, a five-lane road with a center left-turn lane. The road heads through residential and commercial areas. FM 1959 comes to its terminus at an intersection with SH 3 at the entrance to Ellington Field.〔
